Description

Over five years the owners have renovated this property to a very high spec using original features & modern materials to include central heating & a private pool.
The house is in the heart of Gaucin Village (one of the most beautiful “Pueblos Blancos”, according to the Sunday Times, near to Ronda) 20mins to the Mediterranean coast, 1hr to the Atlantic & 2.5hr for skiing in the Sierra Nevada!
Included are views to Africa from the pool terrace!!

Bedrooms

Two en suite double bedrooms. Tastefully renovated using terracota tiles, large chestnut wood wardrobes & old style ceramic light switches. There is thermastat controlled underfloor central heating for the chilly winter nights.
Comfortable King size beds, cotton sheets & peaceful surroundings. All the windows are double glazed to keep the summer heat & the winter night chill out!
Bedroom2 has a fantastic lightwell to supply natural daylight & ventilation.
There is also a large sofa bed in the lounge which comfortably sleeps 2 adults.

Bathrooms

Both are a good size & themed in an Andalucian Moorish stlye. High spec thermastat showers are fitted in both with one also having a bath.
Wooden seat WC’s & sink complete the suites.

Living room

A beautiful living space with a Morrocan styled working fireplace & original 1920’s “hydrolicos” ceramic floor tiles for the perfect setting. Two comfortable English made sofas (one a luxurious leather sofa bed) & original style lighting fixtures make this a perfect space to relax & socialise.
We have also installed a 5.1 surround sound system together with flat screen Satellite TV & DVD player with iPod connection for movies or music.
There is also a large under stair cupboard for extra storage space if required.

Kitchen

A fully fitted kitchen with granite work surface. Oven, ceramic hob, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer & microwave all supplied.
Crockery, cuttlery & glasses are all supplied.
There is also a washing machine for guests use.

Other rooms

A large entrance hall & “San Juan” welcomes you with beautiful original “hydrolicos” ceramic floor tiles. Bedroom1 & en suite with bath are also on this floor.
Up the lovely terracotta staircase you enter the spacious living room with two french windows leading onto small balconies with views to the street below. In an open plan design the dining table sits behind the living space with a good sized kitchen to the right. Bedroom2 en suite is off this level down a small corridor.
From the living area you go up a set of spiral stairs & then a short outside staircase to take you to the pool & terrace. Two words, spectacular views! On a clear day you will see the straits of Gibraltar with the Rif mountains of Morocco in the background!
It is here you can relax by the salt water pool (healthier than chlorine) under the shade sail. There is also a terrace seating/dining area.

Description of amenities

There is a weekly changeover of linen & maid service. Changeover day is Saturday but some flexibility may be possible outside of busy season (contact the owner).
While the property comfortably sleeps 4 there is room for 6 with 2 on a comfotable sofa bed at an additional cost. The owner must be informed so extra linen etc is supplied.
The pool is used entirely at the risk of tenants & may not be suitable for families with young children. Please no glass on the terrace, acrylic glasses are supplied.

Suitability

We have tried to fill our house with everything we like to have when we go away. Beautiful decor, relaxing spaces & a real opportunity to have a great holiday. With the pool & terrace this is a great property for families & friends! There are 2 shops right outside the front door, one of which is a “foodies delight” deli, perfect for those fresh Sunday morning croissant!
