Description
“Villa Rosa” is situated on a west facing hillside, boasting spectacular views over the town of Orba to the hills of the Vall de Laguart opposite. It is set within its own terraced grounds, and has extensive patio areas for all-day sunbathing. Accommodation is provided for up to six adults in three bedrooms – 1 King/Twin, 1 Double and 1 twin – a cot is also available on request.
The villa and grounds are well established, and form part of the Orbeta estate built in the mid-1970s. Being on a hillside, the tarmac roads to and from the villa are quite steep, but are easily accessible by car or on foot. There is a large integral garage plus additional car parking available within the grounds of the villa.
The residents of the estate share the use of a swimming pool conveniently located around 300 metres from the villa, beside the excellent El Cantaro restaurant. The pool is divided into two sections, one suitable for swimming and the other a shallow children’s pool for the younger ones. The pool is available at no extra cost to our visitors from 11:00 to 19:00 during the summer season – which is usually from May 1st to September 30th.
Within walking distance of the villa are many great value bar/restaurants where you can try out your Spanish phrase book, although you can get by with English in some cases.
There are many local attractions, including the beaches of Javea and Denia, plus of course the bright lights of Benidorm that are only 40Km away. For those of you who like to shop in the informal surroundings of local markets there are many to choose from, and for the golfers there are several nearby courses where a round can be played.

All bedrooms have a ceiling fans and an electric heater a wardrobe, bedside table(s) and drawer space for clothes.
The two twin rooms both have two 3ft single beds and there is a 4’6” bed in the double bedroom.
The large twin room has dual aspect windows with views to the hills opposite and out to the garden.
The double bedroom has views to the rear garden and terrace.
The small twin has double doors opening onto the terrace.
Hair dryer is provided.
A cot is available on request.

The lounge is part of the lounge-diner and has windows on three sides with views to the hills opposite, over the driveway and through the dining area to the covered patio.
The lounge benefits from having a central ceiling fan and a built in gas fire, SAT TV, DVD, VCR and a CD Player. In the cooler months additional space heating is provided. There is a three piece suite, coffee table, bookcase and sideboard.
There is a good selection of DVDs, Video Tapes and books as well as some board games

The dining area is part of the lounge-diner and benefits from the central ceiling fan and gas fire.
There is a dining table and seating for 6 people, macthing crockery and cutlery are provided. The dining area has views out onto the covered patio and hills opposite.
Kitchen
Our traditional Spanish style kitchen is fitted with pine cupbaoards and twin sinks and has windows on 2 sides with views to the sunbathing terrace and the hills to the south. The kitchen door opens out onto the covered patio.
Main appliances include a gas cooker and hob, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave, smaller appliances include a toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board. Pots, pans, utensils, pyrex ware etc. provided.

Description of amenities
The residents’ pool and pool bar (300 metres from the villa) is available at no charge to our guests during the summer period. Adjacent to the pool is the excellent El Cántaro restaurant.
Orba is within easy walking distance of the villa (1 km to the town centre) and has all the facilities expected of a small country town including a weekly market, shops, banks, a pharmacy, and several bar / restaurants.
Suitability
No Smoking allowed inside the villa.
The accommodation area, covered patio and terrace can be locked so that small children cannot wander off, These areas have railings so parents need to be vigilent.
Local activities
Orba is around 20km inland from the coastal resorts of Javea and Denia which were originally old fishing ports, but have now become popular holiday destinations for both Spanish and foreign visitors. Javea is the larger town, but Denia has the best beaches with extensive golden sands which are easily accessible. There are many beach-front bars, cafes, and restaurants, as you would expect of thriving holiday resorts. Alternatively, you can find smaller coves and beaches, particularly in the area around Cabo de la Nao.
If you like to wander around local markets, they can be found in one or other of the local villages on every day of the week. They vary in size from the simple street market found in Orba itself (great for fruit, vegetables and cheap holiday clothing), to large scale tourist markets in the big towns. Market timetable.
The bright lights and attractions of Benidorm are around 60 Km away, and can either be reached by a scenic route across the hills, or for the less adventurous, via the A-7 motorway. Using the motorway should take less than an hour, whilst the scenic route is more like 90 minutes and you may find that you use a lot of film on the dramatic Spanish countryside, and take detours to the historic town of Guadalest and the cooling waterfalls at Fonts de l’Algar.
Major Benidorm attractions include the Aqualandia Water Park, Mundomar Marine Animal park, and the recently opened Terra Mitica Theme Park – which has its own exit from the A-7 motorway (Exit 65A – 45 minutes from the villa via the southbound A-7). There is also the Benidorm Palace (96-585-1660) where a dinner and show package price was €39 this year – Tuesday to Saturday from 9pm.

Getting there
Nearest airports are Valencia and Alicante, both a little over 1 hour from the villa via the A7 motorway, Murcia airport 30 minutes south of Alicante.
